Bush Fires Act 1954
EXTENSION OF THE OPEN BURNING PERIOD
In accordance with the powers delegated under sections 17 and 18 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the open burning period for the Shire of Cuballing has been extended by 14 days to Wednesday 15th October 2025.
During this time there are no restrictions on burning, however if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been imposed, then no burning is permitted. It is your legal responsibility to check prior to undertaking any burn; Health legislation is also still applicable. Please note that the Shire may vary Burning Periods depending upon weather and other conditions.
