Accommodation in Cuballing and Popanyinning 

The Shire of Cuballing has accommodation options to suit everyone's needs. From paid accommodation to paid or free camping spots, there are a few places you should stay when visiting Cuballing. 

Cuballing Tavern

Located in the middle of Cuballing, the Cuballing Tavern is the local pub where you can grab a great meal, a drink and stay the night if you require accommodation. The Cuballing tavern offers upstairs accommodation with communal bathroom amenities and one outside unit on the tavern property which is self-contained. Rates typically range from $45.00 for singles and $100.00 for family rooms. 

The Cuballing tavern also offers free camping/RV spot on the grass at the rear of the property. It's also pet-friendly and accommodates caravans and motorhomes. The Tavern is also open 7 days a week for lunches and dinners.

Lazeaway Caravan Park 

The Lazeaway Caravan Park is located on Great Southern Highway just before you get to the Popanyinning Town Site. The caravan park is on the right-side of the road heading north at 15231 Great Southern Highway, Popanyinning. The Caravan Park offers the option of powered and non-powered sites, along with chalets available as well. Along with accommodation, Lazeaway also has a range of bush walks and trails visitors can explore and also offer Horse camping. 

The current rates fees and charges are as follows:

Camp Sites = $45.00 per night 

Chalet = $120.00 per night

It's also a pet friendly site although there are rules that need to be followed, more information can be found at the Lazeaway Caravan park Facebook page. 

Yornaning Dam Campsite 

Yornaning Dam is a scenic ecotourism and recreational reserve located in Western Australia's Wheatbelt, roughly 20 km north of Narrogin along the Great Southern Highway. Originally built in 1896 for steam trains, it now features free self-sufficient camping, picnic areas, walking trails, and abundant wildlife. 

The Yornaning Dam has free camping available for a maximum of 72 Hours (3 days). The site does have toilet facilities that are accessible 24/7. 

Please be advised that there are no Showers or no RV Dump point available at this site. 

The Shire also encourages safety when creating campfires or the use of gas BBQ's. You should check the Shire of Cuballings website to see if you are allowed to start a campfire by going to Burning Season and Burning Permits.

Popanyinning Oval 

The Shire also offers free 72 hour camping at the Popanyinning Oval. The Popanyinning Oval is located at 

You do have to be self-contained as Shower/toilet facilities aren't available at the site. 

The Popanyinning General Store is also within walking distance of the oval, so you can get food and drinks from the shop. You can also access the public toilets and shower facilities, which sit on the main street in Popanyinning, directly across from the Popanyinning General Store. 

RV Dump Points 

The primary RV dump point in Cuballing is located at the Cuballing RV Stopover on the Great Southern Highway. This free, 24-hour facility requires no key and allows for both black and grey water disposal
