Change in Details
In order to change or update your contact details, a request needs to be made in writing to the Shire of Cuballing. Should you wish to email the request, please forward to rates@cuballing.wa.gov.au
A request can also be made at the Shire Office by completing a Change of Details form.
Should your postal address change, notice should be given to the Shire of Cuballing immediately to ensure any correspondence, Instalment notices or Rates Notices are sent to the correct address. Failure to do so may result in rates correspondence being sent to the incorrect address.
Can I get my Rates Notices and Rates Correspondence Emailed?
Should you wish to receive your Rates Notices, Instalments Notices and any other rates correspondence via email, a request needs to be made to the Shire of Cuballing. You can either contact the Shire via email at rates@cuballing.wa.gov.au or contact the Rates officer on 9883 6031 to request this service.
Change in Ownership
Under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1995, notice must be given in writing to the Council within 21 Days of a Rateable property being sold or disposed of. In the event of a change of name, for example, deceased estate, co-owners to single owner, etc, the Shire must be notified.
Changes of Ownership must be lodged with Landgate or updated on the Certificate of Title before changes can take place on your Rates Notice. The Shire needs to be advised of changes immediately to ensure all correspondence is going to the correct person/company.
Purchasing a Property within the Shire of Cuballing?
Although the Shire is notified by Settlement agents of any property transfers, it is important to ensure that your current or new postal details are lodged with the Shire rates officer. This ensures the Rates for the current financial year are posted/emailed to the correct address.
The Shire also advises that you check the below points prior to the purchase of a property within the Shire of Cuballing.
- Does the property have scheme water?
- The property connected to electricity?
- The Zoning of the property
- What buildings/alterations am I allowed to apply for?
