Popanyinning Spring Festival

The Popanyinning Spring Festival is to be held on Saturday, 11 October 2008 to help raise money for community improvements. The event is proudly sponsored by Healthway and Act Belong Commit. Events and activities include Scitech shows, horse and cart rides, free bouncy castle, kids games and novelties, stalls, face painting, pony rides, licenced bar, wildflower walk, live music, fire brigade displays, local produce, toddler play area, gourmet food, cooking demonstrations, train rides, dog training displays, evening BBQ. 2008 WA's Giant Walk

Australia is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the most number of people walking 1 kilometre simultaneously. In 2006, Western Australia claimed ownership of the record, with an impressive 100,915 people walking at once. The previous record holders, Canada, then challenged these walking efforts in October 2007, and managed to get 231,635 walkers participating throughout the country to walk and to claim the title. With our national pride on the line, all Australians are being asked to step up and participate in the walk on Monday 1st September, 2008 to claim the title for Australia.

Please find attached the stallholder application form for the 2008 Popanyinning Spring Festival to be held on Saturday, 11 October 2008. All money raised will go towards the Popanyinning Progresss Association and local community.

CWA Garden Party

On Saturday, 20 September the Cuballing CWA branch invite the community to join them at Helen Elliot's old post office from 10.30am - 2pm. There will be refreshments, stalls, competitions and an exhibition of 84 years of CWA in the old post office.

Drive Safe Program

Drive Safe Australia will be conducting a Course in Defensive Driving for drivers of all ages. This course is suitable for passenger vehicles, four wheel drive and light commercial vehicles. It is a mixture of practical sessions and lecture/discussion sessions. It is a full day course with a maximum of 10 - 12 participants.
