Section 46

Prohibition of lighting or sustaining a flame in the open air

 

I, Anthony Mort, an authorised Fire Control Officer of the Shire of Cuballing hereby declare a Prohibition of lighting or sustaining a flame in the open air from 12:00am (midnight) Saturday 23rd May 2020 until 11:59pm (midnight) on Sunday 24th May 2020, inclusive, for the whole of the Shire of Cuballing.

 

Conditions will be monitored, and extensions will be applied if conditions require further intervention.

 

ACTIVITIES NOT PERMITTED DURING THE SECTION 46 PROHIBITION

  • The lighting of a flame in the open air
  • Any activity that requires the lighting or sustaining of a flame in the open air including but not limited to, above or below ground fire pits, bonfires, incinerators, camping or cooking fires.
  • BBQ’s or Rotisseries that require the burning of a solid fuel eg: charcoal, wood etc.

 

ACTIVITIES PERMITTED DURING THE SECTION 46 PROHIBITION

  • Indoor Wood Heaters
  • Cooking with LPG flame that is enclosed
  • LPG area/patio heaters
